As ever at the heart of what we do. We have an exciting series of cruises planned for 2025. We have set out some brief details below. Marina Trip Bookings will go live in early February (see below for details).
We will keep you updated through our Website, Facebook Member’s Page and the Newsletter and directly if you have made a booking.
All of our Marina Trips and Activities are at the mercy of the weather and this will need to be considered before setting off.
All the Marina Trips are listed on the agenda boards below. Clicking on the relevant trip name (in colour) to open up the poster with full details of the cruise destination and other information.
All the activities (on our Calendar under News) can be opened by clicking on the relevant activity name (in colour) which will open up the poster with full details of the activity location and other information.
Cruises are now free to attend. There will be a £5 booking fee for each trip in 2025 but the fees paid for each cruise will be given to a cruise attendee to take on the cruise to use as a contribution towards, for example, a pontoon party?
This will, in effect, make cruises FREE to attend. We wanted to do this to recognise the support of all our loyal cruising in company members, and to encourage new members to get involved with our cruising in company family.
Mooring fees and other costs are the responsibility of the individual skipper.
CQBHA Booking Form will be live early February 2025, we look forward to seeing you on the cruises.
This is a great opportunity to see first hand how the Port of Poole operates and how Poole Harbour Commissioners run Poole Harbour. You will see how the Harbour Master keeps an eye on the commercial and leisure traffic in and around Poole Harbour and you will have a chance to ask questions.
There are two chances to go to this event, Saturday 9th February & Sunday 10th February. Both sessions start at 9am so arrival at the Poole Harbour Control should be 8.50am at the latest.
Because of space available in the Control Room the visit is strictly limited to 10 members per session, so a first come first served booking will be run. please contact Kevin Butler to arrange your place asap.
This is a chance to get to an MDL marina with all it to offer. Time to get the dinghy out and explore up river or simply kick back and chill.
This busy marina in the heart of the South Coast is a favourite for many. Great for a scenic trip up the river in the dinghy to Swanwick and beyond. The picturesque Hamble Village, with its inviting pubs and restaurants, is only a few minutes walk away.

We make a return to Haslar Marina after many years. This trip is planned as a Bank Holiday cruise with the plan to return to Cobbs on the Sunday but a chance for those on the cruise to extend it to a week away – before or after – to explore the far corners of Portsmouth Harbour to Port Solent.
The stay at this well-appointed marina where you can eat, drink, shop or just unwind has been booked. The Mary Mouse is a must see. If people want to extend the time, they will need to book the next venue (s) themselves.
From Haslar you can get a boat across to Portsmouth and also get some retail therapy at Gunwarf Quays.

This trip is a very popular destination allowing walks up the river to Newport and down the river to the Folly Inn. A late Friday afternoon trip to Island Harbour, which is one of the Solent’s best-kept secrets. Conveniently situated on the River Medina, two miles south of Cowes, it’s one of the most picturesque riverside locations. This is a chance to go through a lock without it being too challenging after a gentle trip up the Medina past the previous venue of Shepards Wharf.
Sat within this tranquil setting is ‘The Breeze Restaurant & Bar’. Exclusively operated by the marina, The Breeze is open daily and offers a quality breakfast, lunch and dinner menu at very reasonable prices. For more information please click here.
There is a new cycle track from the marina into Newport, the County Town of the Isle of Wight and riverside walks, ideal for ramblers and dog walkers. The marina is also convenient for Island bus routes, making Island Harbour a great central base from which to discover the island.
This is not a trip to be missed if you would like to expand your boating skills and wander further afield on the Isle of Wight.

This is a very popular venue with bars and restaurants on the quayside and a cinema complex also on site. This venue has an easy walk straight into the centre of Southampton where there is an amazing amout of shops and eateries to while away your time in. Or you can just sit on your boat and soak up the amazing atmosphere that this marina generates.
This trip can be booked as a separate cruise – linking up with those leaving Weymouth – or as a follow-on cruise after the Weymouth Bank Holiday visit.

As one of the regularly visited marinas on the south coast, we thought it would be a good idea to add Portland to our list for another visit. Heading west gives us a chance to take in the spectacular scenery and iconic landmarks of the Jurassic Coast!
This cruise is ideal for smaller boats or for those who wanted to ‘dip their toe in the water’ of cruising in company.
It is planned as a two night stay to give you a chance to explore Chesil Beach, Castletown Military Museum and the Isle of Portland. You could opt to extend the stay of course.

Bucklers Hard Marina on the Beaulieu River is our first cruise destination of the year. We will all be rafted together on the visitors pontoon. This area is a lovely place to stay with walks up the side of the river to the picturesque village of Beaulieu and the wonderful history of Bucklers Hard with it’s museum and heritage shipwrights school, or you can wander up the river in your dinghy to see the sights from a different angle. (3 nights).
